Peter Cooper
When I graduated from Bowdoin College, in 1981, I didn't expect to return to Brunswick except for class reunions. Now, as the co-owner of Greater Brunswick PT, I can't imagine leaving.
My approach to patient care combines a wide variety of manual therapy techniques with comprehensive patient education regarding exercise, posture, and ergonomics. I take into account each patient's unique history, motivations, and goals to assist them in reaching their fullest potential.
I earned my Master's of Science in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1986. I worked at both Southern Maine Medical and Maine Medical Centers before joining Donna Maria at Greater Brunswick PT, in 1990. Like Donna Maria, I was ready to make the transition from the hospital environment to a private practice. Donna Maria and I worked well together from the start and in 1996, when she offered me the opportunity to become her business partner, everything seemed right. I continue to enjoy the challenges and diversity that the roles of clinician and practice administrator provide.
I am fortunate to be blessed with a loving family and spend most of my free time with them, hiking, biking, camping, skiing-anything that takes us outdoors. Occasionally, I sneak away for a mediocre round of golf.
